- Sex and hockey. A while ago, Jes Gőlbez (Hockey Rants) pointed to a site that featured hot girls in their favorite team's hockey colors. David Singer from The Ice Block (link via VCOE) points to another sexually-charged hockey reference - check out Center Ice's background music.
- Leafs suck. My hatred for the Leafs is pretty well known in these parts of the internet (read my profile). After Toronto's shootout loss to the Habs last night, Jordi from Girls Don't Love Hockey did up this little doodle.
- Extreme Home Makeover. Inspired by the NHL redesigning their website, the guys over at Waiting For Stanley does a site redesign of their own.
- The best offense is a good defense. For those of you not entirely happy with the Canucks' more conservative style of game this season, consider this - the Nashville Predators scored six goals on Thursday against the Chicago Blackhawks and lost 8-6; the Preds then came out and scored five goals against the previously docile Minnesota Wild last night and lost 6-5. Needless to say, Barry Trotz isn't too happy with his defense right now (link via Predspage). From the winning side of things, last night's game got two big thumbs up from Wild fans. (But of course.)
- How's life in the land of Stanley Cup champions? After an 0-2 start, not so good right now. But that's okay, some aren't too worried (and they shouldn't be).
- Money matters. How hot is Vancouver's hockey market right now? As hot as their housing market.
- Jeckyl and Hyde. Florida Panthers fans got their first real look at Todd Bertuzzi this weekend. On Friday, Todd put up four points (1G-3A) and showed why he was once considered one of the best power forwards in the game; the Panthers won 8-3. Last night, he ended up with a team-high four giveaways and a team-low -3 rating in an ugly 6-0 Panthers loss. And off the ice? Florida fans are beginning to learn about the lovable lug (opens in pdf) as well.
