A Career Night
I know there was no hiding my man-crush for Brad Richards. When the Canucks weren't able to get him at the trade deadline and potential first-round playoff opponent Dallas did, I wished that maybe I was wrong and hoped that Richards was, like a lot of Canucks fans in this city thought before Tuesday, indeed washed up.
He's not.

Richards had a career-high five points—all on assists—in his Dallas debut, setting up new linemate Niklas Hagman’s first NHL hat trick and sending the Stars past the Chicago Blackhawks 7-4 Thursday night.

He's a good player that still produced points in Tampa while playing with a couple of douchebags. Put him on a line with a decent player like Hagman and all of a sudden Hagman is Ovechkin Jr.
Look at it this way, we can always make a play for Hossa after the season is over!
Absolutely, Justin. The Canucks can shed the contracts of Morrison and Naslund in the summer and get some scoring help. But NOT Hossa! We need some Canadian content with leadership qualities AND who can put the puck in the net. We don't need any more soft Swedes or Fins or Slovaks on this team.
