NHL Teleconference Calls
I think the NHL brass is finally beginning to figure out this "marketing" thing. A couple of weeks ago, the league took advantage of EA Sports' vaunted game software technology to explain their rule changes. This week, the league's Public Relations department made player representatives from each team available through six different teleconference calls. In the US specifically, fans have had a hard time identifying with players, and this is a good (albeit small) step towards making the players more visible.
