Beer, Belfour and B-Auldy
By now, you've most likely heard of last weekend's drunken scuffle between Florida Panthers goaltenders, Ed Belfour and Alex Auld. As could be expected, the Panthers are denying the incident even occured. It was a non-story, they claim:

The Panthers' version is that the cut near Auld's eye was the result of horseplay between him and Belfour some time after 3 a.m. in the hotel lobby. Belfour said they were wrestling and Auld slipped on some water spilled from a bottle one of them was carrying, fell on the marble floor and cut his head open.Giving the Panthers the benefit of the doubt, here's my question - for a couple of superior athletes who make their living on ice-skates, how many beers did it take for one of them to slip on "some water" and cut his head open?

They really could have come up with a better story than that...
