Some Roster Notes

Some roster notes prior to tonight's game against the Minnesota Wild:

Ryan Kesler strained a hip flexor on Tuesday night against Nashville is questionable for tonight's game.

Poor Kes hasn't been able to catch a break in this early season (hockey-wise, not bank account-wise). Though it's obvious he's working hard at both ends of the rink, he, unfortunately, hasn't scored a goal and only has two assists this season.

Willie Mitchell is back cracking jokes, but is not ready to get back in the lineup yet. He's not travelling with the team on road trip.

Kevin Bieksa and Loo-kash Krajicek has stepped up in Willie's absence. Both have averaged more than 20 minutes of ice-time in the four games since Wille has been out of the lineup. Also in those games, the Canucks have killed 19 of 22 man-advantages and is now in the top 10 in the league in penalty-killing with a kill rate of 86.4%.

It may be a while until we see Dany Sabourin between the pipes again, Alain Vigneault said. The Canucks have a fairly spread out schedule over the next couple of weeks and don't play another back-to-back game until they have to face Detroit on November 22nd and Nashville on the 23rd.
