Game Day: Oilers at Canucks
I know they're all important games, but the next three games for the Vancouver Canucks are reaaaaally important. Despite gaining points in 14 of their last 15 games, the Canucks haven't been able to shake off the Calgary Flames and both teams are still tied, points-wise anyway, for the Northwest Division lead.
They have, however, widened the gap between themselves and tonight's and Tuesday's opponent, the Edmonton Oilers. After last night's games, the Canucks still have a six-point cushion on the ninth-place Oilers; a couple of wins against them would surely help solidify their playoff position.
Here are today's pregame pieces:

Here are today's pregame pieces:
- Roberto Luongo is starting tonight - well, duh - and is on pace to play upwards of 75 games. And that's the way he likes it. - Ed Willes (Vancouver Province)
- Nazzy has scored 337 goals in his career, which is what makes it more puzzling that he can't score on the shootout. - Ben Kuzma (Vancouver Province)
- Speaking of shootouts, some are thinking it's time Alain Vigneault shuffle his shootout roster. With who? - Brad Ziemer (Vancouver Sun)
- The Sedins hit a bachelor party and pose as Swedish twin strippers. Yup, you read that right. - Jason Botchford (Vancouver Province)
- Lukas Krajicek has had an up-and-down season, but at least, he likes playing here in Canada. - Grant Kerr (Globe and Mail)
- Only 26 shopping days left before the trade deadline. - Iain MacIntyre (Vancouver Sun)

I'm not a spiritual kind of guy, but I gotta say..I got a bad feeling about tonight's game.
Do you think that Calgary will pull away with top spot in the NW with the addition of Conroy? It's going to be tough to keep up to the Flames now methinks. I wonder if Nonis is feeling the pressure to make a move, even though he is down-playing it in the media.
