Sunday Brekkie and Hockey
If today's afternoon matinee between the Vancouver Canucks and the Anaheim Mighty Ducks were on CBC, I'd have the perfect sign:
Coffee
Bacon and Eggs
Canucks Hockey
Coincidentally, it's also the perfect cure for my massive hangover this morning.
A Canucks win will leapfrog them over the Ducks and the Avalanche in the Western Conference standings. More importantly, it will move them six points up on the ninth place San Jose Sharks.
As an aside, how good must Brian Burke feel knowing that these two teams, both in the thick of the playoff race, are mostly his doing?
A couple of other articles to point you to: Jason Botchford has a piece on Keith Carney and his first visit with his family since the trade to the Canucks. (The same piece mentions that Dan Cloutier, Ed Jovanovski and Sami Salo are travelling with the team.)
Also, Ben Kuzma talks about the Sedins' and Carter's career year, including Henrik's closing in on the Canucks record for most assists in a season.
