Canucks 0 Predators 6

Well that was a shitty game.

I don't know if it was fatigue or if they simply left their hearts in Detroit, but the team didn't show up against Nashville last night. They outshot the Predators 34-28 but many of the 28 they allowed were on quality opportunities.

At least Dany Sabourin stopped the first shot he faced this time around. However, he let in the second. And the fourth. And three more of the next 11.

That's the bad news.

The worse news? Daniel Sedin left the game in the second period with a pulled ab muscle.

From the Mainstream

My 3 Stars of the Game

  1. Scott Hartnell (NAS): Two goals, one assist and plenty of other chances.
  2. Paul Kariya (NAS): Two assists for the pride of North Vancouver.
  3. Shea Weber (NAS): Great all-around game for the the pride of Sicamous, BC - one goal, one assist and four shots in 19:48 minutes of ice-time.

Next Game

The Canucks finish their road trip on Saturday against the Colorado Avalanche.

At least they'll rebound against Colorado.
We were wondering if it was worth it putting Sabourin in goal against a powerhouse like Nashville. I said no.
Did Luongo really need a rest?
I would have rather played Sabourin against Colorado, since the Avs are sucking it a bit.
Here nor there.....
Nice to see Vigneault put Sabourin back in for the 3rd. He responded well.

I understand goalies need a rest, it was the only game in the NHL that night and back to back for both teams but still, seemed like we had some momentum (unbeaten in 3) going into last night's game and all that just came crashing down.
