The Fine Print
I probably should have paid attention to the fine print when I purchased the full PPV package at the beginning of the season. This release from canucks.com:
Postscript: To add insult to injury, the Oilers are currently winning their game.
[update: 04/03/06, 7:12 pm]
This is soooo not a good time for the 'Nucks to release their PPV survey.

April 3rd - Vancouver @ Los AngelesThe Oilers game started at 5:30 pm PST, which means the earliest us Shaw suckers will get the PPV feed is about 8:00 pm - the end or close to the end of the first period. That, of course, doesn't mean that we pay partial price for the partial feed.
7:30pm start.
This game to be joined in progress!* Due to a conflict with the Edmonton Oilers PPV broadcast, this game will be joined in progress, immediately following the Oilers game. We hope there won’t be much of a delay, however, we will show highlights of the missed portion of the game during TV time out/intermissions.
*This game was carried on PPV, despite the conflict, to ensure fans were able to see the game, rather than it remain non-televised. The conflict was unavoidable and knowing the importance of “games down the stretch”, we didn’t want fans to miss it. Bell Expressvu customers will not be affected by this conflict and will see the game beginning at 7:30pm.
Postscript: To add insult to injury, the Oilers are currently winning their game.

The PPV conflicts between Edmonton and Vancouver games are ridiculous, and I thought it would have been resolved this season. In Alberta I remember it being $10.95 which is absurd for a half-broadcast, not unlike charging someone 5 bucks for a sandwich with a bite taken out of it.
Vancouver Canucks and Edmonton Oilers, I say Bah!
vancouver sun reported a Shaw rep saying if you call in to complain, they'll "take care" of you.
Noted.
Thanks for the info. :)
Mike - At least you got to see the good game that night.
