Housekeeping Note: Eastbound
I'm off to Ottawa and Montreal for the next couple of weeks. I'll be back on time for the Canucks home opener, but in the meantime, I hope I can get some Canucks coverage out there and chime in on things before the puck drops for real. At the very least, I'll hook up with my co-hosts at The Crazy Canucks podcast and record an episode or two with them; one thing I'll be paying attention to are the final roster cuts as some of the kids continue to impress and the team is decimated by injuries.

(PS. By chance, is anyone going to be at the Sens/Flyers game in Ottawa on Tuesday night?)

Sometime yesterday, The Battle of Alberta had its one millionth page view. This is rather exciting, as we're coming up on our 3rd season of existence: tomorrow will be the 2nd anniversary of this here site (I kicked it off on September 12, 2005 with this paean to Mark Messier).These guys revolutionized hockey blogging and inspired the creation of other "battle" blogs between rival NHL teams.
Many thanks go out to the rest of the hockey bl*gosphere, especially Oilers and Flames bloggers, as well as to the fine commenters here who make things that much more interesting and entertaining.

Trying Something New
As you can see, I'm getting Canucks Hockey Blog ready for the new season with a new template. Please bear with me as I play around with some coding.
And now that we're about a month away from training camp, I'll try to get some regular posting going as well.
